Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, cooking until the garlic is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to coat.
6. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add some reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is reached.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
8. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
