Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti (200g) - Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, thinly sliced)
- Red pepper flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh parsley (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
5. Remove from heat, then stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
