Ingredients:
- Spaghetti (200g)
- Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, thinly sliced)
- Red chili flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh parsley (a handful, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
3. Sprinkle in the red chili flakes and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss well to combine.
5. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.
