Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti - 6 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
