Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the pan and cook for another minute.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the pan with the garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!
