A classic Italian pasta dish made with simple ingredients, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta looks dry, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
4. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
