Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio!
