Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve warm, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
