Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil, adding a little reserved pasta water to create a sauce. Stir well to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
6. Serve garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
