Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti - 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes or until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix in chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
