Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe

A classic Italian pasta dish with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of chili. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved. Season with salt to taste.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
