Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional minute, being careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss well to combine, allowing the pasta to absorb the flavors.
5. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
