Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti (200g)
- Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, thinly sliced)
- Red pepper flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh parsley (a handful, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until it turns golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If it's too dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Remove from heat, then stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
