Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A quick and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is well coated.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley.
6. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
