A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Serving Size: 2 servings

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds, being careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to combine and coat the pasta in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
