A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Recipe:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
