A classic Italian pasta dish that is quick and easy to prepare, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in red pepper flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
