Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4
Recipe:
- 400g spaghetti - 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring for about 30 seconds to release their flavor.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet, mixing well to coat the pasta with the oil and garlic. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
