Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic and olive oil. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss again.
5. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
