Ingredients:

- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti in the skillet with the garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well to combine.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
