Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish that is quick and easy to prepare, made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss again.
6. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
