Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of chili. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving a small cup of pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
