Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and sauté for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding a little reserved pasta water to help combine. Stir well to coat the pasta in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
