A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 400 grams spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
6. Serve immediately.
