A classic Italian dish featuring spaghetti tossed in garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt (to taste)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil.
5. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
6. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
7. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
