A simple yet delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden but not burnt.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss again.
5. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
