Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A quick and delicious Italian pasta dish featuring garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes and stir for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed to help coat the pasta. Season with salt to taste.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
