Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti - 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and sauté for another minute.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add some reserved pasta water until desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
