Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until lightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and remove from heat.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to combine.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
