Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If the spaghetti seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
