Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe

A classic Italian pasta dish that is quick and easy to make, featuring garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding the reserved pasta water gradually to help coat the pasta. Stir well to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
