Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for another minute.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil, mixing well to coat the pasta. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
