Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic turns golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet and mix well, adding a little reserved pasta water if needed to help combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
