Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and sauté for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil. Add a bit of the reserved pasta water to help the sauce adhere to the pasta. Stir well to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
