Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti in the skillet with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
