Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional minute, being careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.
6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
