Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté until the garlic is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the garlic and oil. If the mixture seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
4. Season with salt to taste and continue to toss until the spaghetti is well coated.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
