Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is golden but not burnt.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to combine.
5. Season with salt to taste and cook for an additional minute to heat through.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy your meal!
