*Simple and classic Italian pasta dish with garlic and olive oil*

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for a few seconds to release their flavor.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. If it seems dry, add some reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with more parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
