A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- Spaghetti (200g)
- Olive oil (4 tablespoons)
- Garlic (4 cloves, thinly sliced)
- Red chili flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Fresh parsley (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add red chili flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add some reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
5. Stir in chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
