Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
5. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to create a light sauce.
6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
