A simple and classic Italian pasta dish with garlic and olive oil

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Mix well to coat the pasta in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
6. Serve immediately and enjoy your meal!
