A classic Italian pasta dish featuring garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt, to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Stir in red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
