Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
A classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Perfect for a quick dinner! Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until the garlic is golden (about 2 minutes), being careful not to burn it.
3. Combine: Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
4. Season: Add salt to taste and toss again.
5. Serve: Plate the spaghetti, garnish with chopped parsley and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
