Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine. If needed, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
5. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
