Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
recipe
*A classic Italian pasta dish with garlic, olive oil, and a hint of spice.* Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic and oil mixture. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well to combine.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
