Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
2. While the spaghetti cooks, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic and oil, tossing to coat.
7. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
9. Serve immediately.
