Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the red chili flakes and cook for an additional minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning the garlic.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
