A simple and classic Italian pasta dish made with garlic and olive oil.

Ingredients:

- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add some reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
5. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
