Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté until the garlic is golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and sauté for another minute.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss to coat the spaghetti in the garlic oil.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well.
6. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy your meal!
